Mrs. Tamra Workman serves as the Systems Manager/Systems Administrator of the John Glenn Institute for Public Service & Public Policy at The Ohio State University. At the Institute, Tamra is responsible for the supervision of students and all IT projects relating to Page Hall. She is also the Domain Network Administrator for the Page Hall network.

Prior to joining The John Glenn Institute, Tamra was the Systems Manager for The Office of Information Technology, SCC Software Support, from 1992-2004. She oversaw many daily duties including directing workflow to four full-time employees, desktop support for Win9X, NT, 2000/2003 and Macintosh compatible systems, and troubleshooting all operating systems, office products and other software packages in an educational environment. She also maintained and updated software in 72 media classrooms and 30 student computer labs. Tamra was a LAN Administrator for the Labs/Media Classrooms/Staff LAN, which maintained over 400 users in an Active Directory environment. Furthermore she was responsible for employing student workers to maintain backups on critical servers.

Installing, Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Installing, Configuring and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 server
Introducing Windows 2003 server 2003 for IT Professionals
A+ Systems Certification
Management Certification, including OSU’s STEP certification

Tamra completed an Associates degree as an Electronics Technician from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1986. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Information & Communications Technical Systems from The Ohio State University in August 2001.

Tamra is also an avid outdoorsman and loves to mountain bike, camp, and fish. She enjoys doing these things with her husband and their son. Tamra also enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.
