Built in
the Classical Style of architecture, Page
Hall was the ninth building to be erected
on the Ohio State campus. The building opened
in 1903. The building’s name, honors
prominent Circleville attorney Henry Folsom
Page. He was not an Ohio State alumnus,
but left his entire estate to the university.
Many different offices have used Page Hall
over the years: the State Health Department
(prior to 1919), the old College of Commerce
and Journalism (1916-24), Music (1940s),
and the College of Law (until 1959). In
1960, the Fisher College of Business moved
into Page Hall, where it remained until
moving to the new Fisher College complex
in 1998. In December 2004, after an extensive
renovation, Page Hall became the
home of the John Glenn Institute and the
School of Public Policy and Management.
