The John Glenn Institute,
together with Ohio
State's School of Public Policy and Management,
sponsors an annual essay competition for
college juniors and seniors. College students
from around the globe are invited to address
a contemporary public policy issue, with
a new topic designated each year. Past topics
have included "The Internet and the
Future of Democracy" and "Is the
Business of Government Business? What Should
Government Do? What Should the Private Sector
Do?"
The competition is open
to students enrolled in both U.S. and foreign
colleges or universities, with separate
prizes for the domestic and foreign categories.
Current prize levels are:
First Prize (United States)
$1000
Second Prize (United States) $500
Third Prize (United States) $300
Fourth Prize (United States) $200
International Winner $250
