The Ohio City/County Management Association exists to promote excellence in local government management and to encourage the professional and personal growth of local government administrators who share OCMA's commitment to a system of values based on ethical, non-partisan public policy decision making.

The John Glenn School serves as secretariat for OCMA, coordinating two conferences annually, processing membership applications, and producing a bi-monthly newsletter.
